About The Brogan Museum’s Collections
The Brogan Museum is a private, non-profit institution which functions in the dual role of an art and science museum. Our mission is to make connections between art and science by developing our collections, exhibits, and educational programs. The collections are available for educational research and programming, institutional lending, and community outreach.
The Art Collections are comprised of the Permanent and Education Collections. Objects within our collections reflect the following departments: American Folk Art, Photography, Sculpture, Paintings and Drawings, Printmaking, and Pre-Columbian Art.
The Science Collections reflect the following departments: Physical Science, Natural Science, Environmental Science, and Health. Included in the Environmental Science Department are the Live Animal and Non-Living Animal Collections.
Access to The Brogan Museum’s Collections via the internet has been made possible through a grant from The Institute of Museum and Library Services. The grant program, entitled Museums For America, funded a two-year digitization project. This website allows global access to our collections, the artists, and downloadable educational resources such as K-12 lesson plans, object images, and artist interview podcasts. The Brogan Museum is committed to expanding the website to include all of our collections.
